Day 1: Canoeing, caving and adventure

All children settled in well once we arrived safely at Glasbury house last night. They all had a good nights sleep and were up bright and early, ready for a fun filled day of activities.

The activities for today were; canoeing, caving and adventure.

The cavers; Jade, Asfia, Keeley, Max, Gerald, Ryan and Lee, had to crawl through some very tight places and managed to get very wet, but they had a great time!

The adventure group; Gena, Rosetta, Demi, Ebonyi, Atakan, Jay, Jordan and Liam, abseiled down a water fall and did other activities in the forest. Snow started to fall but this not deter them!

The canoeists; Annissa, Sade, Johanna, Myla, Elesia, Kishen, Nojus and Eldho had to battle hard against the wind. At lunchtime, we had a camp fire to keep us warm. After lunch, we carried on canoeing and for the last part of the journey along the river, the canoes were separated and luckily not one of them capsized!

At the end of the day, the children all decided to brave the cold welsh weather and have a swim and a play... BBRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight, we will be taking part in a night time activity on a flood lit assault course and then we will be writing diaries, letters home and some art work.

Hopefully all will sleep well again tonight!
