Day 4


Day 4
The children woke to a very white Glasbury as there had been some snow fall over night.

The activities for today were: Horse Riding, Mountain Walking and Canoeing.

As it was such a beautiful morning, the mountain walkers were taken to a different mountain to normal, they went to the highest mountain in South Wales, called Pen - Y - Fan.... it was 2907 feet high. The children found it hard at first, but it was well worth it. The view from the summit was outstanding. Even Miss Simmonds and Mrs Carleton managed it!

The canoeists also had a great time. It took a lot of team work (some slightly better than others at this!). Once they had passed the rapids, the children jumped out of the canoes and had a play in the freezing water.

The horse riders all did well and took part in a small competition around a small course. Annissa came first, much to her delight!

The evening activities included a Glasbury house quiz and a Boy / girls night. The boys played pool and games while the girls put on make up and painted their nails!
